Canopy Realtor Association Scholarship

The Haywood County Realtor Association is a professional affiliation of licensed real estate agents and appraisers, who indicate dedication to their work and the industry by ascribing to and working in accord with a structure of Professional Standards, governed by a strict Code of Ethics, for conducting business with fellow REALTORS®, customers and clients, and the general public. Membership is by choice, with local affiliation establishing membership at the state and national levels. To date we have 350 active members. This scholarship is a $1000 one-time scholarship available to high school seniors in the Haywood County Public Schools.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 A Haywood County resident, and a senior in a Haywood County High School
 He/she must be planning to attend an approved secondary program (technical/community college, junior college, four-year institution)
 Provide clear evidence of financial need, and have a 2.5 or better GPA.
 Scholastic Achievement
 Community Involvement
 Interest towards Real Estate, Business, Construction or Public Administration a plus but not mandatory!

SELECTION PROCESS AND AWARDS

A selection committee will make a recommendation for the recipient of the scholarships. The selection process shall consist of a review and evaluation of the scholarship applications. The Board of Directors of the Foundation will make the final decision on the recipient of this scholarship. The Board’s decision shall be final. The Haywood County Schools Foundation, Inc., a tax-exempt charitable foundation, will administer the scholarship fund.
